Heroes Among Us is a portion of a theme
unit which was underway prior to 9-11. The circumstances and information
surrounding the events of 9-11 were incorporated in response to 9-11.

How can we "leave no child behind'? It is our firm belief confirmed by
increased testing scores that only by incorporating multiple strategies,
multiple intelligences, learning by design..., we can hope to meet this
goal. What started at this site was "how can we react with what we
have at hand." This most basic reaction became the foundation for
later works.
