Investigate a Hero Using the Culture Model
Mapping a Hero

Activity 4: Following the synectics activity I asked students to select a personal hero.  Choices students made were posted on the heroes board for later sorting.  Using the culture model students had used earlier in the year they researched the culture of each  of their heroes. This model became the basis for their hero report and webquest.   The hero reports were filmed using the video lessons.  The reports also became the basis for a database investigation of 'What makes a hero?'.  For more information on this model follow this link....you will need Adobe Acrobat to read this file...Culture Model  This culture model was then transferred to a database via online connection for a look at Heroes Through Time.  For an current online view take a look at our current Native American Culture Database
