Switch the camera to play mode and play it.

Pause the shot just at the end of the last shot you found acceptable.

Do not use the stop button as this will not kill the tape accurately.

If you see static go back and cue up again.  

Switch back to record mode.

Shoot the scene again.

If you turn off your camera for any reason you must view it and cue it again.
